suspect that your virtual PC will need a high memory control installed before it will let you run setup.

On real machines it is himem.sys in config.sys.

ahhh Virtual PC...I saw your other thread afterwards - not a vpc user.
do as edfair said - and might as well push other stuff up to the Upper Mem blocks so you have more conventional mem available.
