I am in the process of upgrading our mixed Windows NT 4.0 / Windows 2000 Domain to Windows 2000 Active Directory. I just noticed that I have a couple of licenses of Windows Server 2003 (but not enough for all of my servers) and a license for Exchange 2003 (I am currently running Exchange 5.5). Is it possible to have a mixed 2000 / 2003 active directory and still run Exchange 2003? Are there any disadvantages of being in a mixed Server 2000 / Server 2003 active directory? Are there any advantages in going straight to a Server 2003 active directory? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

first, exch 2003 can work in a 2000/2003 environment (think there is a KB but don't have the # off top of my head)

second, there are a TON of reasons for going to 2003. If you leave it in mixed mode, you get very few benefits of 2003.
