I keep getting this message when opening Windows Media Player. "Windows Media Player is not properly installed and must be reinstalled" I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and keep getting the same message. Tried c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP, regsvr32 wmp.dll.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

I ran a check disk because there were some erros in event viewer and it fixed some things, ubt now I get a different error when I open Window Media Player. I get setup_wm.exe - entry point not found: the procedure entry point FindFirstCha could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNAL32.dll. After I click okay, then I get the message that Windows media player is not installed properly.

Try checking the installer logs mentioned on this site.

WMP.DLL

It may be a mis-matched version problem, or even some access/permission problem.
