windows ME vmm(12) error

upon booting windows i get a vmm(12) error message.windows loads but then goes to blue screen.i cannot access scanreg/restore and the computer will not boot from cd-rom.i have added a video card to override the motherboard video which has a video synch problem.when u try to boot to safe mode i do not get an option for crompt command line.is there anyone who can help?

hey guy, if you need to enter in Command Prompt you can boot from W98 boot disk, maked from another computer.

try to disable on board video at Bios Setup.
