Windows Logon sound?

I set the Windows Logon sound to play a certain .wav file, but it doesn't only play when I logon, it also plays when the screen saver locks the desktop and I enter the password to get back in. Is that a bug? If not, it should be.
I only want the .wav file played when I first login to Windows, not every time I walk away from the computer for 10 mins and unlock the desktop.
It would be even better if there was a way to play it at Windows startup instead of at logon, but I didn't see an option for that.

Does anyone know any solutions to this problem?

Control Panel/ Sound/ Sounds

There is a check box which governs whether a Startup sound is played or not. It is at the bottom of the properties page.
The programming events for other sounds are just above that. Select the Windows Logon event, then while it is highlighted, use the dropdown menu under Sounds (again at the bottom of the page) to select "None" from the menu.

Thanks. I don't really feel like hacking one of the System DLLs though. If there's a Microsoft supported way I'll do it, but DLL hacking isn't something I'd feel safe doing to my nice stable system.
