Windows freezes priodically message comes up as follows .... a fatal exception has occured at 0028.C008294 in vxd vmm (01)+ ooo7294????? Also when I run scandisk it will not start message reads ... windows or another program has been writing to this drive??? any solutions thanks in adv. goswin

run defrag in safemode.

It happens almost any time specially when I go to another page on the net or when I run Lycos live charts then it periodially freezes .. how do I start safe mode ???

Just after post, when windows first starts up hit F8, it will give you a menu.

One other problem occured when loading a topic from favorites once in a while I receive a blank page with a small square in the top lefthand corner which will not open the page when I click on it.....this happens every time I go to Lyos chart favourite .... goswin
