Whenever I select a large AVI video file in Windows Explorer, it takes around 15 to 20 seconds before I can move or delete the file. ![[mad] [mad] [mad]](/data/assets/smilies/mad.gif)
I found the cause of the problem is that Windows Explorer is searching for information about the file. As soon as the file information shows up in the Windows Explorer status bar, I can then delete or move the file. If I try to move or delete the file before Windows Explorer has finished scanning for file info, then it complains with an error message stating that the file is in use.![[evil] [evil] [evil]](/data/assets/smilies/evil.gif)
Is there a way that I can prevent Windows Explorer for searching for any file info? I tried hiding the status bar, thinking that Windows Explorer would only search for file information if it needed to display it, but it looks for file info regardless of whether or not the status bar is displayed.
Thanks for your help,![[wink] [wink] [wink]](/data/assets/smilies/wink.gif)
