Ilenoir,
The systematic is recorded in the registry on the signature of ExtShellFolderViews for different folders (directory and virtual folders/NSE). The InProcServer ends up with shell.dll or shell32.dll.
But, the main problem seems to be why the environment variable %THISDIRNAME% is not initiated at all. The layout etc from your link seems ok.
I would like to ask you some things.
[1] You fig is on c: drive. How about any one of the regular directory?
[2] If you have not customized the folder, can you do the following thing. I think the webview would use the folder.htt in %windir%/web. Could you make a backup copy first then edit the content of it using notepad? Use search to locate %THISDIRNAME% (casesensitive) and change it to %THISDIRPATH% (all uppercase) and save it. See what happen in the place of %THISDIRNAME%. (You might get warning, and take yes for an answer.) It is absolutely not normal that the environment variables %THISDIRNAME%, %THISDIRPATH% and %TEMPLATEDIR% are not initated for webview.
[3] I pickup a couple of virus Redlof just surfing on the net in regard to folder.htt! I just do not like it!
