here's an interesting glitch for you all
one of my clients is running win98se on an intel system and recently encountered the following problem. whenever she clicks the "view details" option in windows explorer, all of the files and folders in the right hand pane completely dissappear from view. she can browse normally using the "view list" and other options but none of these show file sizes and modify date, etc.
her system has the latest version of norton installed and definitions are up to date. the pc has had a history of klez, which was successfully cleaned.
adaware scan comes up clean as well.
short of a windows reinstall are there any ideas on how to restore this functionality? have any of you encountered this before?
thanks ahead for the advice.
