Hi,
Using Citrix Metaframe 1.8 SP1 on NT4 TSE SP6. This happened some time ago, so my memory may not be too sharp about it, but I recall it starting just after I uninstalled Norton Anti-virus 5.0. I uninstalled it because it didn't really provide any protection (If an infected file was opened via a network share, a message popped up on the *console*, the user wasn't notified, and the file was allowed to be opened unchanged).
After the uninstall, the default action for double-clicking a folder in Windows Explorer (in the right hand pane) changed from Explore to Open. If you right click a folder you can see the default option is in bold. Obviously, Open is not the sort of default option you want in Windows Explorer. I mucked around a bit in the File Associations thing and managed to change it back to Explore, but then I found that when you double-click a folder in the standard view (as in if you double-clicked My Computer), that the resulting window opened up a Windows Explorer window!
So it seems to me that Window by default considers these two situations different and has different default actions, but somehow they got linked. I haven't wanted to play too much on a 'good' computer in case I screw it up too.
Any ideas on how I can get this back to normal?
Thanks in advance.
