PLS HELP !!!!!!

WINDOWS 98SE - when I start my computer I tend to get this message sometimes from (Windows Registry Checker) "windows ecountered an error accessing the system registry......" then it backs up itself and restarts computer.

Could anyone please tell me what should be done to put this right as anything to do with REGISTRY I tend to get slightly worried.

Thanking you in advance for your responses.

Run Scandisk either from Windows after booting or boot to a floppy drive and run scandisk in DOS. Be sure to do a thorough scan.

This can also be caused by too much or faulty memory!!
If you have more than 256Mb then try taking a stick out or if you have some memory laying around try another stick of memory.
