Windows doesn't display logon prompt at startup.

After reinstalling Windows Me, I can't get the logon prompt to show at startup. I have the primary Network Logon set to "Client for Microsoft Networks."

To log in I have to startup and go to start "Log Off..." then it brings up the logon screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a very frequently asked question in networking news groups. The
problem can occur even when you've done everything right in configuring
the operating system and network. The most likely fix is to delete this
registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersionNetwork\Real Mode Net\AutoLogon
