This just happened today. When I booted my comp, & windows started up, the viewable area was off-center. It was moved to the left too much. I readjusted, but when I rebooted, the bios screen is off-centered. There has been no changes made to anything, otherwise I would know the culprit. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is my monitor about go KABOOM!!!? Thanx for the help.

Something has changed in your video drivers or monitor selection. Try taking everything to VGA 640x480 and then sort it out. Ed Fair

Sometimes, monitors act all funny. Since the resolution is constantly changing, whats centered for one resolution (640x480 and greater in windows) will be totally off centered for 320x200 in DOS/Bios. This problem usually happens on older monitors, so if yours is a new fandangled plug and play monitor, then you may have a real problem. If this IS the case, well friend, your gonna have to live with it or shell out $170 for a new 17".

I guess it may be time for one of those nice flat screen monitors. This particular monitor is an Compaq monitor. I was hoping that it aint the monitor goin goofy, but I guess it's just it's time. I been wanting a new monitor for a while, I just needed incentive. I'm usually the kind that says..., "If it still works, Ima use it till it falls apart". So I guess this is the case. Thanx for the help.
