please help - i'm tring to use both DOS and windows - if i install DOS first and windows over it i get

Your post seems to have been cut off.
I guess that your are trying to install win95/98.
In which case it will overwrite DOS (to a certain extent), its still there but not as prelevant as in the win 3.** versions.
Anyway think you may need to repost,with the whole question.

depending on what you need the original DOS 6.22 for, you may only need to use Win9x, and useit's dos features, (or boot into Dos mode, which is more reserved)
