Looking for a windows98 undelete utility that can be run from a floppy in DOS mode.

(The Win98 files c:\windows....was accidently deleted on a friends computer.)

-Brian

Found a good utility
Anyone have a list of the standard files that are installed in c:\windows ??

The unerase utility prompts for the first letter and in some cases I don't know what it is. (Running XP and 2000 on other system...so I can't check them for reference.

Any help appreciated.

Whew...that's a list your asking for.
Why not just do a reinstall?

can I do a re-install of the OS without having to reinstall the apps ?

Directory of \WIN98\SYSTEM (before any applications have been installed):
You may even be able to hunt the rest down, as MS says
"This is the first article in this series for Windows 98 and lists the files in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder placed there by the original installation of Windows 98."
