I have tried several times to install Win 98se on an old Compaq 4108.Every time it gets to setting up the hardware and the final boot it stops!! Any ideas as to get around this and make it complete it's installation??

If you're upgrading you've got to have your screen saver (choose None) and anti-virus' real-time scanner disabled. Be sure your computer is virus free by scanning with a updated virus scanner before disabling and proceeding to upgrade. Emachines, Celeron 600, 256 Mb RAM, 10 Gb HDD, ADSL.
