Windows 98 DFS Problem

I have some Windows 98 machines that can see the DFS structure, but are not able to see the targets. They can navigate the DFS tree freely, but when you get to where the target should be, the return
nothing.

Windows 2000 and XP machines can follow both the structure and hit the targets.

These machines do have the Windows 98 DS Client installed.

any help?
