I wounder if anyone can help?

I have one of our users come to me to say that when he scrolls quickly in windows explorer the system locks up and he has to restart the machine because nothing works. I have spoken with other people and they have not seend this problem before does anyone have an idea of how I can fix this? I have tried installing new drivers for the mouse but that does not work.

You're confusing me:
Windows Explorer
OR
Internet Explorer?

Hi.

I have had this problem a couple of years back. In the end, I found it was due to the video driver. When I loaded an updated version, the problem went away. It also fixed other intermittent system lockups which I hadn't realised were connected.

It may not be the cause of your troubles, but it is certainly worth a go. Video drivers are updated very often, so it is worth updating them from time to time, anyway.

Another thing that may help is to lower video acceleration

I agree with the video related solutions. In addition to the other suggestions, you may find that Direct X could be a factor. Mudskipper
