I have 8 computers. 4 run windows 98 and the other 4 windows 2000 pro. The 4 running win 2k pro can all see each other and share devices, printers etc. but i have now run into a problem where the windows 98 machines can not access the 2000 machines. I can map to all of them, but when I try to go from a 98 machine to a 2000 machine i get the message that a password is needed at xxxxxIPC$. I need to share a printer and files between these machines and cant seem to get it corrected. I do not recall entering a password on the machines. Any help would be really appreciated since I have to install win 2k on another machine soon and will need the other 3 to share it. Thanks.

For all Win2k Machines, enable "GUEST" account and you be able to allow Win98 see Win2k machines.

Thanks dylanloh
I came in to work today and actually figured it out. Each user (anyone that wanted to link to the win2k machine) had to be set up on the win 2k machine exactly as they were set up on their win 98 machine. Appreciate the quick response tho.
