Windows 95 won't close properly

After being logged on to the network, Windows 95 won't close down properly. It gets to the screen, "windows is now shutting down" and won't go any further. I know how to fix Windows 98 but not Windows 95
 
Have you tried dropping the screen rate down back to 256 even VGA, clean out all temp stuff.. Download Easycleaner and reset the bios back to normal.. Works on IBM pcs...

Have you tried the 98 fix on this 95 pc, It will work the same way.

juggy's got the right idea. Though after getting rid of the temps, Scandisk & Defrag. Hope this helps. -md
