I'm having an issue with a new Windows 8 laptop - I have the laptop domain joined (no issues there), but when I try to log in, the PC is defaulting to logging in using a Microsoft account - If I try to login using a domain account, I get a message saying "Please type your email address in the following format: someone@example.com".
I have tried by using domain\username, username@domain, and no luck at all. If I use the fingerprint login option, I am logged in to the domain account without any issues at all.
I am only able to manually login to the domain account by choosing "Sign-in Options" and choosing "Domain Logon". Once I do that, I am able to use the domain account without any issue.
We have another Windows 8 laptop, from the same manufacturer, in the same OU and with the exact same GPOs applied, and it does not have this problem. I'm at a loss to explain why this is happening, and I have not been able to find a single other example of this happening.
Does anyone have any input on this?
Thanks
