I have to enable Excel on my intranet site on my laptop that has Windows 7 Home edition. When I look for the Excel app in dcom config, it isn't there.

So, how do you 1) Find it if it's hidden or 2) Add it if it isn't there?I need Excel to have the proper rights on my local websites.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks. I will try that tonight...

Someone just told me that Office 2007 doesn't allow for COM objects like Office 2000/2003 does. So here's my question: Can I install Excel from my Office 2000 Premium CD onto my Windows 7 laptop and have it be referenced by my intranet site? Can both Excel 2007 and Excel 2000 coexist on the same computer? Finally, in my ASP code, would: set objExcel = Server.CreateObject ( "Excel.Application" ) work as is after I install Excel 2000?

Some of your answers should be in these. The older versions need to be installed before the newer versions.

Thank you. That was very helpful. I will give this a try.
