Windows 2003 SBS Exchange question

Hello, I'm new to Windows 2003 SBS with Exchange. I'm setting up a new server. I need to change my "default" e-mail address(s). Here is an example of what I have:

John@NewGagitWorks.local
(NewGagitWorks being our internal workgrup or domain)

What I need is:

John@NGWorks.com
(NGWorks.com being our web domain)

What do I need to do to change this? Thanks in advance for all your help!

- Open Server Management (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Administration\LaunchConsole.exe)

- Open your user account.

- Open the E-mail Addresses tab.

- Click New, select SMTP Address, and follow the prompts.
 
Thanks, I was able to make the change. Will I be able to receive e-mail sent over the internet to "NGWorks.com" without any other configuration changes in Exchange? I need to set up about 30 accounts, will I need to make the same change on each account individually?

(Additional info: Exchange 5.5 user for 4 years, upgrading to Windows 2003 SBS Standard Edition)
 
That all depends if NGWorks.com is correctly registered.

You can add any e-mail address you like to your user account. For example - I could add mike555@tek-tips.com but that doesn't mean that I can receive e-mail at this address because obviously tek-tips.com isn't registered to me. I'm not sure if that's the best way to explain it, but that's the general principle at work here.

Try sending yourself a test e-mail. Does it come through?
 
NGWorks.com is an example. Our domain (mmtool.com) is registered, we have been using Exchange 5.5 for about 4 years. We purchased a new server and I'm in the process of installing Windows SBS 2003 Standard edition. I choose to set up the server form scratch and not use the migration tool. I wanted to keep the same domain within the internal network so I wouldn't have to re-configure any client machines. After hours I'll be able to test the e-mail. Thanks again for all your help. If you have any tips for my situation please let me know!

I haven't had the opportunity to take the old server off line and test the new one. I do have the new server hooked up to a router and a client machine off our network. The problem I'm having is I cannot connect to Outlook. The error message is "Your Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable". My user, client apps, and other folders are accessible. Any suggestions?
