Windows 2000 server never prompt for product key

Hi,

Installation of Windows 2000 Server should prompt for product key after the screen requesting for "name" and "company".

However, I have encountered a strange case where Windows 2000 server installation does not prompt me for the product key. After the abovementioned screen, it directly leads me to the screen for Licensing mode (skips the screen requesting for product key). I have no idea why it is so. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Could be a Microsoft Select CD. From memory you did not have to enter a product key.
