Windows 2000 Second Edition

Hi

Does anyone know anything about an impending Windows 2000 Second Edition launch? Would there be a free update for existing first edition users? Does this new edition (assuming there is one) improve the software compatibility issue?

XP pro is an updated improved W2K pro. Free update? Depends when you bought W2K. Many vendors are issuing update certificates for those buying NOW so they can upgrade from W2K Pro to XP.

Same situation applied at a certain point for purchasers of
NT who recieve update certificates for W2K for later free update.
