Having a problem with Microsoft Windows 2000. It will not boot to Windows, but keeps shutting itself down and restarting. The message I get is that the memory test is failing and this message in blue screen form:

STOP:c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive <file>:
\system32\system32\config\SOFTWARE
or it's log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writeable.

Beginning dump of physical Memory
Physical Memory dump complete.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to get this computer to get back into Windows?
