Hi,

Please help in solving this, my, problem below...

My PC shuts down automatically in Windows 98 mode(i.e.,ATX power supply one). But, if the operating system is either Windows XP or Windows 2000 Professional, ATX doesn't work- have to shut down through power ON/OFF button after it displays "It is safe to shut down your computer now" as it used to do in earlier version of Windows or system without ATX.

Thanks in advance for any tips...

Byeee, Have a great time ahead!

Just something you alter in the power saving panel, sorry carn't remember quite what as I am on an iMac at the mo, sure someone will be more specific. Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.

zib, If you are still looking your answer is to be found in the registry. Or have fun and edit what that screen says so it reads, "Goodbye HAL" or "My Master does not communicate with me... Searching_." or "My Master has disowned me." or somthing like that. Use the Force Luke!
