Windows 2000 Permissions

I work in the IS department for a large company in NJ
There are a number of other IS workers that also have administrator priviledges on the network. I want to keep them out of my PC. The network is on a domain.

By using this command: they can get into my PC. I want to stop this.

\\x.x.x.x\c$ allows access to my disk

You could stop sharing on your C: drive, which is by default shared.
To do this, right click on the C: drive in My Computer, go to Properties, select the "Sharing" tab.

WOW, that was stupid why didnt I think about it.
Maybe because that is the default, so it never dawned on me to check. Thanks

Do bear in mind that your drive may be shared out for the purposes of updating things such as AV definitions automatically.
If that is the case, you can still keep certain folders private by setting the permissions to those specific folders to "No access" for domain administrators. They can still gain access but only by first taking ownership of those folders.
