I am trying to use the backup program included with Windows 2000 Server to backup data and the system state to an external hard drive. Is there a way to schedule the daily backup to save to a different file name each time it does a backup, or would I need a full version of Backup Exec to do that?
I have it setup now with Win2K Backup to append and the file size keeps growing. I would think that it would be easier to manage if I had a different file name with each day's backup. I also wanted to burn a CD for offsite storage once a month, which would be impossible with one huge file.
