Im getting the following error in the event viewer.
I wanted to add the registry setting which would turn this off but I am unable to find the correct service.

Time: 9:57:08 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DHSBS01

is data DWORD 0.

If you go to the following link it discusses in great detail the PerfLib error. While some problems can be resolved with MS q819716, this only resolves the problem for TCPIP Services.

Near the end of this discussion they make the following entry,
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hello everyone.
My problems with PERFLIB are RESOLVED!! :)
I called Microsoft and opened a ticket about this, and after much trial and tribulation, they were able to give me a fix.
The key for my problems was corrupt perf counters. To rebuild this, the technician gave me a tool call PCRWizard. It allowed me to rebuild the system and extensible performance counters.
The steps were, disable diskperf by saying "diskperf -n" at the command prompt, then run the PCRWizard and rebuild both system and extensible counters. Then I re-enabled disperf with the -y switch.
Then I rebooted. After that, I never got another event ID 1010. I have successfully implemented this on several servers. Thanks to Microsoft!!

Im currently trying to get the PCRW program. MS sent me what they thought was the program but turned out to be just the read me file.
