Windows 2000 Advanced server, Domains, How can I make a log on?

I am running windows 2000 ADvanced server on one computer with an IP address 192.168.176.1 I want to make it so I can log on to my file from any system, IE: wwhen i log on it checks my username and password with the server and lets me on to my file within the server, so I can access my desktop from any computer on my network, most of my computers are running widnows 98, I need to know how to setup a domain and set up up for log ons on my server as I have worked out how to setup Windows 98 to log on the domain.
