ok, so if simulating a tab key is simply

window.event.keyCode='9';

then how do I simulate a SHIFT + TAB ??

Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Cheers for the reply. IE-only is fine since this is going into a HTA application. Have looked at shiftKey but from what I've seen so far, shiftKey is a read only event?

Cheers,
Dave.

What are you hoping to do besides READ it? If you're trying to MAKE a SHIFT-TAB happen, then you are going to have to go about it in a more roundabout way.
