I have a problem. I would start my computer up and everything would open fine, but after about 10mins or 15 mins I will try to open the "My Computer" or "Control Panel" or something of that nature and I get the following message:

"EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:01a2139e.

Could anyone help me out?

unfortunatly spike, you may be SOL. Try getting/ borrowing norton system works, it may fix this problem. Also, do you get any other error messages on boot up, about any files missing? You can also try the following (hopefully it will let you in the control panel, if not , try plan B
PLAN A
Go to START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL

Double Click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS (if the control panel doesnt open, substitue plan b for this step)

Scroll down and select MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 5 (OR5.5) AND INTERNET TOOLS

Click add/ remove

Choose the REPAIR option.

this basically repairs internet explorer, a key component of windows 98.

PLAN B

go to START>FIND>FILES OR FOLDERS
in the named box, type in APPWIZ.CPL
double click on the file it finds (this is the same as double clicking on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in the control panel)
follow the rest of the steps from plan a

smileybry that worked! I really appreciate that! After doing what you told me to do (plan A) the errors stopped and everything is working again! I really appreciate it!
