I have a "generic" computer at school with AMD K62-350, 192mb RAM 4.3gig Maxtor HD.
My BIOS recognizes the HD as being a Maxtor 90432-D2 with 4.3 gigs space.
I had Win 95 and it would not recognize the "extra" space so my tech people ordered a copy of Win98SE and I renamed command.com and the Windows folder so it would install. Once I got it installed and reinstalled all my software, I ran the disk converter program that converts to FAT 32.
After all that I ran Norton Utilities to fix Windows problems etc.
Windows 98 still sees only 1.99gig HD.
Would Partition Magic help? I really do not want to format the drive and start all over. It is the school's computer but I really need the extra space.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
