I use Mozilla myself, so am not familiar with everything about OE; I set up a machine with a fresh install of Win98SE, and grabbed the copy of OE that can be downloaded along with the install of IE 6.1. I've also got all the critical updates off Windows Update. The spellchecker button when composing emails is disabled, what do I need to do to get the spellchecker back?

Win98SE & latest OE & no spellchecker?

Howdy,
For the spell checker to work in OE you need Office or Works installed. OE doesn't have a spell checker of it's own, it uses one from the above products. You can, however, download a free one, here for example :
(nb. I've never used it so I couldn't say for definate that it will work)
