Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to guide me here.
I have 5 workstaions, win98 2nd E, hooked to a server, Win NT 4. The workstions are meant for one purpose only and that is to run a dialing software that my employees are to use.

What I'd love is that when they log in to the agent user, the specific software is the only one they have access to. I already did some registry mods that prevent desktop, control panel, favorites ect...but I'm sure there's a way that nothing else is availible to them but the software.
Of course I'd also have to be able to troubleshoot the system if anything goes wrong, so perhaps the changes can only be made to a certain profile.

If I was too vague or not clear just let me know. Thanks!!

I believe the only way to allow users to certain software on 98 is to create user profiles for them on each computer, then an administator profile as well for you to troubleshoot. Once you create their profiles then you can set the access controls. Hope this helps, Good Luck :)

Any chance you can convert the 98SE machines to NT Workstations? This would sovle the problem entirely since they are setup for access controls, passwords for programs/folders, and everything else under the sun. Good Luck :)
