I was just at that M$ link and I think the info(from M$) is wrong...the instructions are to extract from Base4.Cab as I see it......One problem .......Those files are NOT in that .cab....
I have an OEM 98 CD Rom....and my "explorer.exe" is in Win98_41.cab......
The others are elsewhere too......
Am I missing something or did M$ screw up as usual.....If it's me, I'll gladly defer.....
Check it out

My Fault...I see my mistake.......That specific extract command with the switches/parameters, only refers to the Base4.cab as the "first place" (which as we all know is the first cab)...to start looking for those files...and then climb through the cabs and overwrite only these files specified ans where to place them......

Ok....Consider me Deferred.......:>)..
Boy.....am "I" glad "we" got that cleared up...
Peace

To be fair, I didn't read through the whole page, or try anything out, just found the error message and scanned the page to see if it looked like it might help. It's up to harz to read it and see if it helps with his problem. We haven't heard anything more from him though, hmmm....
