I setup a new system board and loaded win95. When the system boots it sees 32 megs SDRAM but when I goto sytem properties win95 only see 24.
What is causing this?
Does your new board have integrated video? If so, then some of these boards do not have their own video memory and use your system's RAM leaving the remainder for Windows to use. Usually the BIOS has the option to set the amount of memory used for video to 4mb, 6mb, or 8mb.
At my work recentely two IBM computers had this problem, they each had 32mgs of ram and windows was reporting a lower quantity. The head tech their said it had to do with the ram being bad, i don't know if he was pulling this out of his a$$, but i did seem to make sense. could be a possibllitly?

moses
tmoses@iname.com
<a href=
