Simple question... I think. :)

I have a bunch of Windows 95 machine tool controls running on my network. They cannot be upgraded because they are running on proprietary hardware that isn't powerful enough. I installed the AD client for 95 on those machines and everything seems to be working great.

The question I have is, if I install roaming profiles for all my users will there be a problem with them logging into Win95, or do I somehow have to force the 95 machines to use the local profile? I've tried setting the policy on the machine to use local profile, but AD doesn't even see those 95 machines as members of the domain.

thanks

I apologize if I failed to mention that my network is all Server 2003 with XP workstations except for these few 95 machines. But I assumed since I posted in a server 2003 forum that was a given.

My problem is that I cannot implement ANY policies for Windows 95 machines (The machine not the user) in Active Directory. The roaming profiles are enabled per user not per machine. I need for Active Directory to recognise the machine the users are logging into as 95 and say "Ok, we have a 95 machine, don't use roaming profiles". But since AD doesn't recognise 95 machines I can't do that.

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell AD not to use the roaming profile when a user logs into a 95 machine in a logon script?

Thanks

-Al
