Hi,
Here is the setup:
Win2k server Termina server in App mode.
TS port is default
Netgear VPN router setup for IPSEC
Clients are win2k or xp connecting with Remote Desktop Conn
All clients can make an IPSEC connection without a problem. Some clients, after making the IPSEC connection, the RDC will freez after hitting connect. The listener (TS manager) on the server side, will blink showing that the client is trying to connect but it never connects. on the client side, the bar at the top of the full screened window with the server information showes up but either a blue screen (not BSOD) or a blak one will hang until RDC times out and generates a typical RDC error like the server refused connection. Server is pigable through the IPSEC tunnel, you can map drives, etc. What makes this even more interesting is that if I open 3389 on the router, the same client can get to the server and establish RDC without any problems. So the bottom line is that there is some sort of an issue with RDC through IPSEC but only with some clients....
I am confused. Sorry if I have gone on and on please ask me questions if the above does not make any sense.
Thank you for reading...
