Hello,
I have a win2k server setup, does anyone know of a way to use a boot disk (with nic drivers) to get a laptop to connect to the server? (the laptop needs rebuilt, but does not have a cdrom).

Solution: You can buy an adapter to convert and IDE with your notebook harddisk.

We do it using RIS but it's a lot to set up if it's just for a one-off build.

Sure, you could use a network boot disk to get the files you need off the server. Try Bart's:

You can made it also from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit .. search for rbfg.exe file
