Help! I think I hosed a co-worker's computer.
My co-worker installed service pack 3 and did not back up his files. After the service pack he got the blue screen at startup. He was able to start up in safe mode.
I tried to "recover" from a win2k cd, but now it says it can not find the ntldr.
Of course the drive has important info and I can NOT just format and start again. We have been unable to install on top of the existing windows install, I believe due to security issues.
What do you suggest to get the data back and fix the operating system?
Thanks in advance.
Tim
