I have built a new server and am planning on bringing it in to the domain.

I set up the shares on the server yesterday, when I tried to connect to the server to test that the permissions were correct I got the following error message:

"There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request"

The server is a member of the domain, looking in the network information panel it is displaying the following name: server2.amsystems.co.uk

Any ideas of what I need to do next to get the server visible across the network?

I've compared the settings using ipconfig/all and found I'd forgotten to add the IP address for our internal DNS server.

I am now getting the following error, when trying to log in to the domain from the other server:

"The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is incorrect"

Any ideas of why my settings in the PDC's Active Directory are incorrect?

Is the server just a member of the domain?

If it is, just go to the AD for USers and Computers. Find the server listed under comuters, and then do I right click. You can reset the account. Hope this helps.
