Hi all,
Please give me solution for this situation...

I have shared some directories on Windows 2000 server + SP2.

At begining it works well until today, clients in network (WinXP Pro) want to connect to shared directories like it used to do. But it can't,there is error message -> "Server is not configured for transaction". I try to find about this error from support website of MS but no information found.

What's a reason of this error and how to solve it?

I'm looking for your help with hope.
Thank you.

The 1st thing you need to complete is the Service Pack updates.

This might resolve the issue, but you know that you are patched so incase you have to call Microsoft or a vendor, that is completed.

Is there any events in the log files on the server?
on the workstations?

What virus protection are you using - its a common cause.

Ash.

Hi all,
I found what's cause this problem.
I use "net share" command to check what happend to some share service, such as IPC$. And found no IPC$ share.

So I use command "net share IPC$" and everything works well.

Then I tried to check how this occur and found some virus inside this machine.

Thanks for all of your replies.
