After uninstalling a program through "Add/Remove Programs", Windows 2000 Professional will no longer complete the startup. The Startup progress bar moves all the way to the end and then the PC reboots itself. I cannot get into safe mode either; the same thing happens. I have tried going into setup to use the Repair process, but it is unable to find a Windows installation on Drive C:, and I don't have an emergency disk(I have one from a similar install on a different PC, but I am not sure this will work). I can get into the Repair console, but I am unsure what to do there to fix the problem. Please help!

Also, I saw someone fixed their reboot problem by repairing the Master Boot Record. I tried to "FIXMBR" from the recovery console, and it told me the PC seems to have an invalid or un-accessible boot record, and fixing it may cause all partitions on the drive to become unaccessible. Could this be a cause of the problem?

What did you uninstall? Have you used any boot managers (they often write to MBR causing message such as you see - if you say yes to fix & run it again, you'll get same message!). You might have a boot sector virus. You can use a rescue disk (I know Trend have one to download) to scan the boot sector. You could try the fixboot command from recovery console - but as its starting to boot, I doubt that would make a difference. Have you tried last known good configuration (after pressing F8).
Can you look at boot.ini file (from recovery console if NTFS) to see its pointing to correct partition?
