I have been getting several hits in the Event Viewer beginning today with the following:

The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Reboot the machine.

This automatically reboots my PC. It started today and persists every time I go online. I haven't been able to stay online more than 10 minutes. I downloaded an XP patch at:

but I'm not sure if this is going to resolve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Thanks, SESaskDFC. I'll have to take a look at the registry to see if I have the msblast.exe value in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run key. It took me several attempts to download the patch from Microsoft because I have dial-up and my system would reboot before I could even finish the download.

Thanks,

John
