I have a shared printer attached to a Windows 2000 system. The other Win 2000 systems can see it and connect to it, but the Win 98 systems can not. The system can be seen, but not the printer attached. We use TCP/IP.

Any ideas?

Can you access folder/drive shares on the 2k machine from 98 (ie, have you an account on 2k machine matching 98 logon credentials)?

How long is the sharename of the printer. I seem to recall win9x can have problems with > 8 character share names.

Read up on "command line" NET USE /? Be creative dare to be different just make sure it ends up with /persistent yes
