Clients logging on our 2k server using Windows 98 have to wait 10+ seconds at the login screen before logging on.

If they don not wait, then they get an error saying no domain server can be found.

This never used to happen but started as we installed 3Com switches in place of our hubs but this could just be coinsidence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I had a similar problem where win98 machines could not find the domain. I reinstalled TCP/IP and Win98 was able to log in again. Hope it works for u too.

They can actually log in but have to wait 10 seconds at the login screen before they can.

I have tried reloading tcp/ip but no difference.

It is not the network cards because i have tried various different ones and still the same result.
