Win 2k prof in NT 4.0 Domain

Hi All,

I am facing problem with my Win2K Profe workstation as i have NT 4.0 domain(one PDC & one BDC) and when i try to add Win2k w/s in to domain it says "Access denied".

I can Browse through all workstations in my domain through My Network Places except SERVERS. There also it gives same message "Access Denied"

is there anybody who can help me?

To add the workstation to the domain you will need to know the account name and password for an administrator account on the server. You may also need to make the workstation a WINS client in the same WINS network that the NT4 domain controllers are in, since this will allow the workstation to know about the existence of the domain if they aren't all in the same subnet.

Something else you might try is creating the computer account in the domain before trying to add your computer to the domain. If you do this, you won't need to put in a username and password on the workstation that has admin rights. Just make sure that the account you create has the same name as the workstation that you are trying to add.
