Win 2K hiding menu options 1

Can anybody tell me how to stop Windows 2000 and some programs from hiding menu options that have not been used for some time. I know you can force it to show them but it is very frustrating. Thanks.

Right click on taskbar, select properties, then uncheck 'Use Personalized Menus' box.
